The State Bank of India (SBI) has released notification for the recruitment of Circle Based Officer posts. In this notification a total of 2273 vacancies has been advertised and the online application process will begins w.e.f 29 January 2026, and the last date of application process is on 18th February 2026. Eligible candidates, who aspire to join State Bank of India as an Officer, are required to register on-line after carefully reading the advertisement regarding the selection process, eligibility criteria, online registration processes, payment of prescribed application fee, issuance of call letters, process & pattern of examination/ interview etc. and ensure that they fulfil the stipulated criteria and follow the prescribed processes.

CBO Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government including Integrated Dual Degree (IDD). Candidates possessing qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant would also be eligible.

Age Limit

• Not below 21 years and Not above 30 years as on 31.12.2025 i.e. candidates must have been born not later than 31.12.2004 and not earlier than 01.01.1996 (both days inclusive).

CBO Selection Process

The selection process consists of fallowing stages:

• Online Test: The Online test will consist of Objective Tests for 120 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after conclusion of the Objective Test and candidates will have to type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer.
• Objective Test: The duration of objective test is 2 hours and it consists of 4 Sections of total 120 marks. There will be separate timing for every section.

5. Upload scanned documents such as photo, signature of candidate and other key documents.
6. Pay apllication fee of Rs.750.
7. Submit and take snapshot for future reference.
