Primary Teacher (Level-I)
Any one of the following:
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed./BTC)
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks + 2-year D.El.Ed./BTC obtained under NCTE (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks + 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)
- Graduation (or equivalent) + 2-year D.El.Ed./BTC
- Government Primary School Shiksha Mitras on honorarium basis who completed the 2-year D.El.Ed. programme from IGNOU with State Government permission
- Regularly appointed Assistant Teachers/Head Teachers (Primary and Upper Primary) serving in DISE-coded schools and teaching Classes 1โ5 (in-service teachers)
Upper Primary Teacher (Level-II)
Any one of the following:
- Graduation (or equivalent) + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (BTC/D.El.Ed.)
- Graduation (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks + 1-year B.Ed./L.T./Shiksha Shastri (Regular/Institutional only)
- Graduation (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks + 1-year B.Ed./L.T./Shiksha Shastri (Regular/Institutional only), per NCTE regulations
- Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks + 4-year B.El.Ed.
- Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks + 4-year B.A. B.Ed./B.Sc. B.Ed. integrated degree
- Graduation (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks + B.Ed. (Special Education) recognized by RCI
- Graduation or Post-Graduation with at least 50% marks + B.Ed. (minimum percentage requirement waived for candidates admitted to B.Ed./B.El.Ed. or equivalent before 29 July 2011)
