Interview: Candidates are called for interview equal in number to the total vacancies, in order of merit. The interview carries no marks โ€” it only assesses whether the candidate stammers or has reading difficulty. Final selection is governed by Rule 22 of the Rajasthan District Courts Ministerial Establishment Rules, 1986.

Method of Conducting the Stenography Test

  • A trial passage of 200โ€“250 words is dictated first (not evaluated), followed by the final passage at uniform speed.
  • Five minutes are given to read the dictated passage before transcription.
  • Candidates must transcribe the passage on a computer.

Method of Conducting Speed & Efficiency Test

  • Language matches the Shorthand Test language.
  • Font: Kruti Dev 010 for Hindi, Calibri for English.
  • Minimum speed: 8,000 key depressions per hour.
  • Efficiency Test includes formatting of text, paragraph, page, and table.

Reservation Norms

  • TSP Area (Scheduled Areas) reservation: Applies to Banswara, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, and Salumber districts, each treated as an independent unit. Within these, 5% posts go to Scheduled Caste and 45% to Scheduled Tribe (of the local TSP area); if local ST candidates are unavailable within a district, unfilled seats may be filled from ST candidates of other TSP districts.
  • Women (including widows and divorced women): Horizontal reservation against category-wise vacancies.
  • PwBD candidates: Horizontal reservation against total vacancies.
  • Candidates from Rajasthan’s SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS categories and other-state candidates from equivalent categories are treated differently โ€” other-state reserved-category candidates must apply under the General category, as reservation benefits apply only to Rajasthan’s own residents of these categories.
